Birgitte heads the firm’s litigation department and provides highly specialised, hands-on advice to clients across Denmark.

She is one of the few danish attorneys with deep expertise in inter-municipal reimbursement. This allows her to give you a clear understanding of current practice and significantly strengthen your position in these types of cases. She also advises clients who need specialist expertise in other areas of public law.

Birgitte is an authorised estate administrator appointed by Skifteretten in Hjørring and has extensive experience managing estates. This ensures a structured, transparent process and a high level of reassurance from beginning to end.

She also has substantial insight into the fisheries sector, where she represents a number of major pelagic fishing operators.

Birgitte regularly represents clients in litigation before the District Courts, the High Courts, and the Supreme Court. She has held rights of audience before the Supreme Court since 2015 and has conducted several significant and precedent-setting cases, including the widely reported “Løber-sag” as well as a number of landmark cases within inter-municipal reimbursement. As a client, you benefit from an adviser who can guide you through the entire process, regardless of the scope or complexity of the matter.

Her work also extends beyond the firm. Birgitte is Vice Chair of Danske Advokater and a member of Højesteretsskranken. Through engagement with other leading litigators, she continually develops and maintains her high professional standard.
